large scale

using various monochrome mediums I have drawn based on the future of air transport within my small sketchbook, this exercise was mainly to focus on using previous design to create new ones, in addition to practice recording process, in this case I began by using pen to create a sketchy outline, followed by pencil and then charcoal.

rainbows and shapes
using the cartist Nigel Hopkins as inspiration I created a few characters to decorate this page with, since he used such characters to cover a car. to create this I used chalk and charcoal as well as masking take to prevent any colour from reaching particular areas. in terms of relevance the only thing really connecting to my theme is the artist, and I do not believe this to be enough to continue with this process unless directly studying them despite enjoying making this.

A1 car
in an attempt to bring my A1 works back to my theme I decided to draw a car using the materials in the previous works, ie the charcoal and the pen, however I also decided to use tire imprints and spray paint as well since I have been using spray paint a lot in my work and wish to continue. I did also include a process I am not familiar with, pen running, in which hair spray is applied to the pen lines causing them to run, all of these processes combined do create a good outcome however it is not one I find suitable for use on A1 paper so I doubt I will be using this again.
