human imprint introduction
human imprint
wherever people travel there is always a track left behind, whether it be the prints of boots or the grey jet streams left by planes. over the years humans have been able to traverse the land sky and sea because of the means of transport that has been tamed or created, this is what I will be focusing on in my project using
I will be focusing specifically of the progression of transport and how it has changed over the years, weather it its abandoned to the flow of time or constantly modernised to be suitable for what is required of today’s era. to achieve this I intend to study these changes and how they changed the world around them, allowing mankind to reach and break new barriers and even challenge barriers that have not been discovered yet though media and technology. in addition to this I aim to compare the new and old though art and potentially hybridise them.
I was inspired to pick this topic for human imprint when I decided to start my observations by drawing my surroundings, noticing how the transport seemed the most changeable thing, as a result of this I decided to focus on transport as a whole and how it impacted those who had access to It.
after time working on this project I decided to focus on cars specifically since this is the most common means of transport and therefore the most changeable. cars allow people to reach locations at significantly less cost and tie than other means, despite being limited to land.
